After losing her hosting job, Hipon Girl Herlene Budol was struck with these painful realizations.
HIPON GIRL – Herlene Budol was in tears as she opened up about her life now amid the pandemic and going back to zero when she lost her job in Wowowin.
As much as many people know, Hipon Girl or Herlene Budol in real life is the viral contestant from Wowowin loved for her authenticity and humor when she joined the game show. When she became viral, she was called again in the show as requested by a lot of people and she became Willie Revillame’s co-host and since then, she admitted that her life became better.

In terms of salary, she admitted to Toni Gonzaga in Toni Talks that she is being compensated well. She can take her family out for a meal which they don’t usually do, she was able to have their gate fixed, and when the pandemic hit, she used up her Php 100,000.00 savings to survive. However, the happiness did not last long for her. She lost her job because of the pandemic. That’s when she realized that being in show business is not forever.
Emotional and in tears in front of Toni, she expressed that they are back to zero and she was left with nothing while wiping her tears. She lost her source of income and it pains her as a breadwinner to not being able to provide for them. She also confessed that she also did vlogging for an extra money but even up until now, she’s not yet paid for doing videos. Her channel now has over a million subscribers.
“Nahihiya nga po ako pag may humihingi ng tulog sa akin tapos wala akong maibigay kasi wala rin po ako,” she stated. At the end of the video, Toni shared that all proceeds of the vlog will be given to Hipon Girl.
