Robin Padilla won’t run next election
Action star Robin Padilla denied the rumors saying that he is planning to run for Senator in the 2022 elections.
Just recently, speculations surfaced that Robin is one of the personalities who is included in the senatorial list of President Rodrigo Duterte. Through the recent vlog of his wife Mariel Padilla, the actor answered this speculation.
“Maraming nangarap na maging pulitiko ako. Hindi mangyayari yun. It’s not gonna happen,” Robin Padilla said adding that he wants his kids to have a peaceful life.
He added that he wanted them to try living abroad if it is still possible as there is no certainty yet with the current situation due to the pandemic.
Robin also mentioned that once their house will be sold and the museum, it will be enough for them to start a life in another country. The action star shared that he wants them to live in Europe. He and Mariel could work hand in hand in raising their kids there.
“Nakasalalay lahat iyan sa kung anong blessing natin. Kasi, kung magiging ganito, nandito lang tayo sa Pilipinas. Wala tayong tsansang makalayo,” he added.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview by comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, Robin Padilla revealed that he has no savings despite working for several years in the entertainment industry. It is because of his realization that money has no value with his aim to help other people. “Simula nung nakulong ako, dun ko nalaman na walang value ang pera… Pag gusto kang ikulong dito sa mundong to, walang magagawa ang pera,” the action star said.
