What is it like for Joem Bascon to have Willie Revillame as his father-in-law?
JOEM BASCON – Kapamilya actor Joem Bascon reveals feelings to have top host Willie Revillame as a father-in-law and answers if there’s any pressure.
Meryll Soriano and Joem Bascon marked their relationship announcement with their little bundle of joy they named Gido. This is following all the rumors surrounding them when the actor revealed that he and vlogger Crisha Uy have broken up in a previous article. Their rekindled romance and their baby came as a shock to many people.
They really planned to have a baby and the actor is just so happy to have his son by his side amid this pandemic. He expressed in a statement as he finally spoke about his baby, “Sobrang saya ko, and hindi ko naramdaman siguro yung pandemic because nasa bahay lang ako and naka-focus lang kami ni Meryll sa baby namin.”
As much as many people are aware, Meryll has a son with actor Bernard Palanca. She was already 38 years old when she gave birth to her second child, her first son with the actor as they found each other and fell in love for the second time around.
Now, is there any pressure on his part as his father-in-law is the Kapuo host and businessman Willie Revillame? Naturally, considering the status of the Kapuso star, anyone would surely get intimidated. Also, in the vlog of Meryll where they visited her father’s Palawan resort, it was heard that Joem called him “Sir”.
Speaking about this, Joem said that he feels no pressure at all to have Revillame as a father-in-law. He is accordingly more pressured in being a father to his son as to how will he provide and how will he raise him to be a good person. He stated, “Pero kung regarding kay Sir Wil, wala naman pong pressure kasi all the time po, lagi kaming kinukumusta. Lagi kaming binibigyan ng mga advice, ng tulong, so lagi po akong grateful. Yun po yung laging pag-aalaga niya sa apo niya.”
As a man, he just wanted to show that he can also do something to provide for his family and give them their needs. He is careful in saying anything about his personal life but he is grateful to Revillame. He wished for him to have good health always because he helps a lot of people.
He added based on PEP, “Ang dami niyang napapasayang tao, hindi lamang siya sa pamilya mapagbigay kundi sa buong Pilipinas, sa mga taong nangangailangan.”
