Oil Firms Set to Impose Another Pump Price Hike to Take Effect This Week

Several oil companies in the Philippines are set to implement another pump price hike starting on Tuesday (July 20, 2021).

Different gasoline stations in the country would impose another increase on prices of petroleum products. The implending changes would mark the ninth consecutive weeks of hike in oil prices.

Shell would charge an additional amount of P0.30 per liter of kerosene and diesel and P0.10 per liter of gasoline. Seaoil would also impose similar price changes with Shell.

Petro Gazz would implement P0.30 per liter of diesel while the prcies of gasoline would remain the same. Caltex is set to charge an addition P0.10 per liter platinum and silver fuel and P0.30 per liter of diesel and kerosene.

The Department of Energy has also released the latest available data regarding year-to-date adjustments. The data shows a total net increase of P13.50 per liter of gasoline, P10.60 per liter of diesel, and P9 per liter of kerosene.

The additional price hike in petroleum products will surely affect and contribute to the daily burden of Filipino motorists and drivers.
