Oil Companies Set to Implement Another Pump Price Hike

Several oil companies in the country are set to implement another pump price hike in prices of petroleum products.

The gasoline stations in the Philippines are about to impose another adjustment in prices of petroleum products. It would be the sixth consecutive week of hike for gasoline, eleventh for diesel, and fifth for kerosene.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. would impose an addition P1.00 per liter of gasoline, P0.65 per liter of diesel and P0.70 per liter of kerosene. Cleanfuel would implement the same price adjustment except for kerosene.

The oil stations would implement the prices changes around 6:00 am on Tuesday (June 29) except for Cleanfuel, which will impose the adjustment at 4:01 on Tuesday. Other gas companies are expected to make similar announcements later this week.

The Department of Energy has also released the latest date available showing the total net increase of petroleum products this year. The price of gasoline reached a total hike of P10.75 per liter, P9.25 per liter for diesel and P7.70 per liter for kerosene as of June 22.
