QC LGU Shutdown 2 More Bars Caught Violating COVID-19 Protocols
The local government unit of Quezon City (QC) has permanently shutdown two more bars that were caught violating COVID-19 protocols.
During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the two bars were detected breaking health procedures and engaging in illegal activities, according to the Quebec authorities. According to the study, the bars do not have the necessary permissions to operate.
The Baia Luna KTV bar on Timog Avenue and the Chaps KTV bar on Quezon Avenue were identified as the two bars. Previously, the Baia Luna KTV bar had been briefly closed.

Meanwhile, the Chaps KTV bar was discovered to be engaging in illegal behavior. Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City personally visited the two violator bars to request their closure.
The Chaps KTV bar was revealed to have ten woman employees, according to the QC Mayor, in addition to breaking health procedures and operating without a business authorization. Baia Luna also has 47 female employees.
“Kaya personal ko itong pinuntahan, itong dalawa, sapagkat bukod sa wala silang business permit… meron na silang na silang natagpuan na 10 kababaihan dito… at sa Baia Luna naman ay 47 women,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
A bar on Tomas Morato Avenue has already been closed owing to alleged violations of health and safety protocols. Due to suspected violations of health regulations and public safety hours, the Quezon City Business Permit and Licensing Office (QC-BPLO) ordered the closure of a bar in Tomas Morato.
A previous warning against the bar was issued by Task Force Disiplina. When the closure order was implemented, the owner was not present.
