Farmer in Abra Shot by Neighbor Over Missing Goats Due to Victim’s Dog
A heated confrontation becomes a heinous crime after a neighbor shot a farmer to death due to the suspect’s missing goats.
In Sitio Baleg, Brgy. Calao, Bucay, Abra, a farmer was shot and was proclaimed dead on arrival when a hot-headed neighbor confronted him and accused him of his missing goat. Alexander Tejero Molina, 42, a local resident, was recognized as the victim.
Bobby Barro, alias Bobot, Molina’s next-door neighbor, was named as the suspect. The suspect went to Molina’s residence, where he blamed the victim’s dog for the disappearance of his goats, according to the initial investigation by the Bucay Municipal Police.

Their debate devolved into a violent quarrel until Barro turned around and shot the victim. The victim’s left chest was pierced by a bullet from the suspect’s rifle.
He was taken to Abra Provincial Hospital by responding police officers, but he was proclaimed dead upon arrival. An empty Gauge 12 shotgun was found by members of the Crime Operatives (SOCO).
The suspect bolted from the scene. He was, however, apprehended by the cops. The police authorities recovered the shotgun used by the suspect in the shooting incident.
A murder charge has been filed against the suspect, based on the report. The suspect is said to have regretted his actions, and Molina’s family has chosen to bring a murder charge against him.
