Quality over the franchise, a Kapamilya director said this
Kapamilya director Andoy Ranay expressed this striking statement on the denied franchise of his home network, ABS-CBN.
Remembering the first anniversary of the shutting down of the Kapamilya network, the director said that it was the most difficult and painful time. It is because he was working for the company and the people he loves.
Based on the article in Bandera, Direk Andoy revealed the reason why he chose to stay with ABS-CBN despite not having a franchise.
“But the best part is the reason why I stayed and continue serving with ABS-CBN is because I believe the content that ABS-CBN is producing no matter what may franchise o wala is world class quality!” he said
For him, the quality of the outcome of a project must be prioritized. “’Yun naman, so aanhin mo ang franchise kung basura naman ang trabaho, wow! Ha-hahaha! Grabe! I mean di ba?” the Kapamilya director added.
He also said that it still feels good to work even with a smaller salary or projects do not come as often as before because he knows that they are giving what their audience deserves.
“We have responsibility to our audience. Kaya iyon ang ibibigay natin, hanggang dulo magkakasama tayo,” Direk Andoy stressed.
The Kapamilya director is one of the talents of ABS-CBN who decided to stay. He said that it is because they are “kapamilya” and the support will always be there, especially during difficult times.
