Marvel ‘What If…?’ Features Voice Performance Of Chadwick Boseman

MARVEL – Here’s the official trailer of Marvel’s animated series ‘What If…?’ featuring the last performance of Chadwick Boseman.

It’s been almost a year since the passing of American actor and playwright Chadwick Boseman. He achieved international film for playing the Marvel superhero Black Panther.

He died on August 28, 2020, in his home in Los Angeles due to colon cancer. He was 43.

This year, almost a year to the date of his death anniversary, Marvel Studios is set to release an animated series “What If…?” The upcoming Disney+ series featured Chadwick Boseman’s last performance as T’Challa.

Boseman takes on the mantle of Guardians of the Galaxy’s leader Star-Lord in one episode. The new series will explore the possibilities of different “what ifs” in the Marvel Universe.

Marvel Studios released the trailer on its Youtube Channel on July 8, 2021. Avengers’ fans got all nostalgic and emotional as it featured the voice performance of their favorite character including that of the late actor. In the trailer, Boseman’s voice can be heard in T’Challa’s scene with Yondu.

Other actors who are reportedly part of the series are Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Michael B. Jordan (Killmonger), Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sebastian Stan (James “Bucky” Barnes), Michael Rooker (Yondu Udonta) and Josh Brolin (Thanos).

Other iconic Marvel characters that will appear in the animated series but will be voiced by different actors are Dr. Strange, Steve Rogers/Captain America, Tony Stark/Ironman, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and Taneleer Tivan/The Collector.

MCU characters Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Vision, Ultron, Gamora, Drax, Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Ego, the Ancient One, Dora Milaje, Ramonda, and Shuri are also reportedly set to appear on the series. It will be released on August 11.
