Sara Duterte has this recent statement when asked about the presidency

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said in a recent interview that she is open to run for President in the 2022 elections.

These past few days, talking about the presidency, the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte has not given any specific answer until now. She was even accused of having a “script” when answering the question about her possible political move next year.

Mayor Sara, however, denied that her answers were scripted. She said that she is just being careful of what she should say regarding this matter.

In her recent visit to the Cebu Capitol, once again, Sara Duterte-Carpio was if she is open to the idea of running for President next year, based on the report from Inquirer.

Yes, opo,” she answered this time but she stressed that there was no final decision yet. She added that what is more vital now is knowing the sentiment of the public and what the people really want.

“I thank supporters here in Cebu for their trust and confidence. That is one of the reasons why I am here, to ask the people what they really wanted,” the presidential daughter said.

Previously, the Mayor opposed those who are urging her to run for President behind the fact that her name surfaced as a frontrunner in the presidency for the 2022 elections.

The presidential daughter had a closed-door meeting with Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia that lasted for two hours but the former said that there were no particular discussions yet when it comes to matters about politics.

Sara Duterte-Carpio also said that she will be back in Cebu with her Hugpong Ng Pagbabago party. She would like to further consult her supporters regarding what they want to happen in the 2022 elections.
