Rico Blanco Speaks About Working w/ Girlfriend Maris Racal
RICO BLANCO – Former Rivermaya frontman Rico Blanco broke his silence on his relationship with young actress Maris Racal.
One of the celebrity relationships that sparked a lot of reports this year is the romantic ties between former Rivermaya frontman Rico Blanco and Maris Racal, a young actress under the ABS-CBN Network. The rumors first crossed the surface when the young actress had a sweet greeting for him on his birthday.
Maris took to social media a photo of Rico and a video of them together singing while he’s also playing the guitar. There was a part when many people thought that the two (2) celebrities would kiss. Even their fellow celebrities gushed over the sweet video of the singers.
In May, Maris confirmed that she and Rico are in a relationship. Truths be told that many people noticed the age gap between the two (2) celebrities – the former Rivermaya frontman is 48 years old while the young actress is 23. Meanwhile, many people are very happy over the love they have.

Aside from being in a relationship, Maris Racal and Rico Blanco got music collaborations. She is one of the talents under his recording label, the Balcony Entertainment. Recently, the former Rivermaya frontman spoke about his relationship with the young actress and their music collaboration.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Rico stressed that Maris has already been writing songs even before they met. He further expressed that she has great songs and he is careful about it.
Sa social, non-music world, the bigger thing for them is the relationship. That always fascinates people, when two people they know are in a relationship,” Rico said.
Based on the report, Rico and Maris first worked together in a song when he helped produced her single entitled Abot Langit. It was released in May 2019. He admitted that he helped her but it was really done before he did so.
“Naka-porma na ‘yung kanta. Tumulong ako sa second verse and the arrangement. We worked together to sharpen. It was a collaboration, but nauna siya, ginawa niyana ‘yun,” he said.
