Former Lawmaker Jinggoy Estrada Might Run as Senator in 2022 Elections
Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada inclined to run again as a senator in 2022 elections but he would base on the results of survey.
On Wednesday (July 7, 2021), the 58-year-old politician announced that he might run for the Senate again. The former lawmaker said that he would wait for the results of the survey before making a decision.
The younger Estrada said that the Pulse Asia 2022 election survey results might encourage him to run after seeing that the public is still trusting him. He also claimed that he has a lot of unfinished business in the senate.
“There is a strong possibility that I might run for the Senate again, the survey shows, in Pulse Asia, I’m still in the winning circle,” Jinggoy said.
The politician is hoping that his name would be clear from Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel scam cases after the case of his friend Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. has been dismissed.
“I am hoping that the SC will decide on my case before the elections or before filing. That is my prayer,” Estrada reiterated.
