Is it true that ABS-CBN management had no idea about Bea Alonzo’s network transfer?
Rumor has it that actress Bea Alonzo did not talk to the ABS-CBN management regarding her decision to transfer to GMA-7.
For two decades, Kapamilya’s talent management company Star Magic handled the career of Bea. However, in 2020, she announced that she changed her manager. Talent manager Shirley Kuan is now handling the career of the A-list actress.
This July, Bea officially became a Kapuso and allegedly, she received a P200 million offer from the Kapuso network for two years. During the contract signing last July 1, Bea Alonzo already hinted about her upcoming projects as a new artist of GMA. Prior to this, it was already announced that she will be doing a movie with Pambansang Bae Alden Richards.
Amid this much-talked-about network transfer of Bea, rumors surfaced that ABS-CBN management was shocked, based on the article by Reggee Bonoan in Bandera.
A source told the entertainment columnist that it was fine for the bosses of the Kapamilya network when Bea asked permission to leave Star Magic. She and her manager also talked to ABS-CBN executives regarding her movie with Alden.
However, allegedly, the bosses of the TV giant had no idea that she already signed a contract with the Kapuso network. “Kaya laking gulat ng mga taga-Kapamilya network nang malamang pipirma na ng kontrata si Bea for TV dahil nga nag-expect sila na sa kanila pa rin gagawa ng teleserye ang dalaga,” Bonoan wrote in the article.
“Hindi raw siya nagpaalam kina Chief Operating Officer Cory Vidanes, Direk Laurenti Dyogi, Direk Ruel S. Bayani, Dreamscape Entertainment Deo T. Endrinal at kay Ms Olive ‘Inang’ Lamasan?” the columnist added.
