McAfee Antivirus Creator Found Dead In Spanish Prison
JOHN MCAFEE – The creator of one of the famous antivirus, McAfee, was found dead in his jail cell in Barcelona via suicide.
However, netizens speculated that a massive conspiracy shrouded his death. McAfee was already set for extradition to the U.S. to face tax evasion charges. But, he died hours after the Spanish High Court made their decision.
Based on reports from Spanish local media, El Pais, McAfee was pulled from his cell with authorities investigating his death. Meanwhile, McAfee’s lawyer said that the software mogul hung himself.
Still, netizens are suspicious of his death. On December 2019, 6 months before his death, McAfee posted this on his Twitter:
Getting subtle messages from U.S. officials saying, in effect: “We’re coming for you McAfee! We’re going to kill yourself”. I got a tattoo today just in case. If I suicide myself, I didn’t. I was whackd. Check my right arm.
Earlier this month, a video conference with McAfee became viral. Here, he stated that the charges against him were politically motivated. Furthermore, he said that he’d spend the rest of his life in prison if he was to return back to the U.S.
Additionally, he claimed that he had dirt on “those in power”. Along with this, he threatened to “expose the truth” if he ever died.
“I neither fear death nor run from it. At my age it sits on my shoulder as a constant companion. It makes me fearless.”, he said.
