Message of Sen. Imee Marcos to Family of Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino

IMEE MARCOS – Senator Imee Marcos extended her condolences to the family of the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

The death of former Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III left countless hearts surprised and broken. Earlier today, he was rushed to the Capitol Medical Center and was confirmed that he passed away just a few minutes later. His sister, actress-TV host Kris Aquino, was spotted arriving at the hospital.

The former President served as the Chief Executive from 2010 to 2016. The people called for his presidential bid in 2009 following the death of his mother, former Pres. Corazon “Cory” Aquino. Prior to it, he served in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Former Pres. Noynoy Aquno has served as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2006. He was a senator when the people called for him to run for president in 2009.

The Aquino family has yet to release a statement over the death of former Pres. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Messages of sympathies and condolences outpoured for the family of the former President.

One of those who extended their condolences to the family of the late former Pres. Noynoy Aquino or PNoy is Senator Imee Marcos. In a message posted on social media, the lady Senator said that she will always treasure their years together when they were just starting as legislators. They were each other’s “classmate” in Congress from 1998 to 2007.

According to Sen. Imee Marcos, beyond politics, she knows PNoy as “a kind and simple soul” and he will be deeply missed. Both of them came from political families and there were even issues involving the Aquinos and the Marcoses.
