PH To Get “More Than Enough” Moderna Vaccines On June 27

MODERNA PHILIPPINES – According to the Philippine Ambassador to Washington, the PH would get “more than enough” Moderna vaccines.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, countries from across the globe are ramping up its vaccination campaign. Meanwhile in the Philippines, the government is aiming for “herd immunity” by November 2021.

However, there’s still a lack of vaccines in the Philippines. Additionally, a large percentage of the public still doesn’t want to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Luckily, with new doses arriving soon, the Philippines is hopeful to achieve its goals for herd immunity. Furthermore, PH Ambassador to Washington Jose Manuel Romualdez said:

June 27, sigurado na ‘yan. 100 percent. Kausap namin almost every day this past week. Nagkaroon lang nang problema dun sa storage facility at dun sa kanilang transportation diyan

Moreover, Romualdez said 20 million doses of the vaccine would be supplied to the Philippines. Along with this, he said 13 million of the doses will go to the government while the remaining 7 million would go to the private sectors.

Currently, the Philippines has secured over 113 million coronavirus vaccine doses from five manufacturers. This includes 26 million doses from Sinovac, 10 million from Gamelyea, 20 million from Moderna, 17 million from AstraZeneca, and 40 million from Pfizer.
