The pair was allegedly kidnapped by armed individuals at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, according to authorities. Residents reported a pick-up vehicle that had been stopped for two days and the engine was running on the side of the road, according to P/Cpl. Mario Paul Tino of the San Fernando Police Station.

Because of the foul odor emanating from the truck, the residents peered inside, where they discovered the victims’ bodies. Some residents said they heard a succession of gunshots in the area where the vehicle was parked around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 17.

Inside the vehicle, six rounds of undetermined firearm ammunition were discovered. Because the victims owned multiple enterprises, stealing, according to a relative of the victims, may have been the motive for their deaths.

The victims’ son also claimed that his father returned home to retrieve cash and other items. Gavino apparently did not stay at their home for long and informed his son that his wife was waiting for him.
