Joshua Garcia had acting lessons from this veteran actor
Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia revealed that this veteran actor helped him improve his acting skills after his Pinoy Big Brother stint.
Joshua is among the young stars of ABS-CBN who is a product of the reality show. From that stint, he was able to shine through his acting skills. Some showbiz fans would even comment that he is the younger version of A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz.
However, based on the article in The Philippine Star, after his PBB stint, Joshua Garcia said that he had no enough knowledge when it comes to acting.
Because of that, the projects that were first offered to him was given to other actors. With that, he realized that acting means deeper that what he used to believe.
“Nagsimula ‘yung pagmamahal ko sa acting simula noong isang taon na ko sa showbiz. Dumaan kasi ako na parang walang trabahong binibigay sa ‘kin. Napapalitan ako ng ibang artists,” the young actor said.
In order to achieve what he wants, he asked the help of his favorite veteran actor. “Ginawa ko nun, nagpa-workshop ako kay Tito Pen Medina. Ako talaga nagbayad. Kahit wala pa kong pera nun masyado, nagbayad ako,” Joshua revealed.
He was amazed to see that Pen Media was able to cry in a certain scenario after the count of 10. “Ang galing. Sobrang solid siya magturo,” the young actor praised his acting mentor.
After that workshop from the veteran actor, Joshua Garcia was able to grab a role in Olivia Lamasan’s hit movie “Barcelona: A Love Untold” featuring the KathNiel love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Joshua added that his love for acting grew over the years.
