Cops Arrested Restaurant Staff Due To Not Receiving Free Burgers

NO FREE BURGERS – Nineteen restaurant staff were arrested after they refused to give cops free burgers.

In Pakistan, police officers entered a branch of Johnny & Jugnu and demanded they be given freebies. However, the staff declined. Unfortunately, two days later, the same police officers returned and arrested the entire staff of the Lahore branch of the food chain.

The staff was arrested for more than seven hours in jail. Luckily, the officers who did the arrest were suspended due to the incident. Still, people believe that this was a gross display abusing their power as officers and a mere suspension was not enough.

Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the food chain said officers began harassing the staff and pushed them around. Furthermore, the staff said that a “very high profile special guest” requested the burgers.

But, the surprising part is this wasn’t the first incident of this happening to the food chain. According to an article from Unilad, officers have repeatedly intruded on their restaurants demanding free food using intimidation tactics if staff refused.

As per the article, the spokesman said:

Upon rejecting their request for free burgers, which has become a common practice for them, the police officers threatened our managers and left, only to return the next day to further harass and pressurise our teams…
