Sunshine Dizon has learned this acting pointer from the Eddie Garcia
New Kapamilya actress Sunshine Dizon shared that the late actor Eddie Garcia taught her how to do the “sampalan scenes”.
Being a drama actress, Sunshine has been an expert when it comes to crying while delivering dramatic lines. The actress has already shown her acting prowess in various teleseryes.
Now that she is part of ABS-CBN, it is expected that she will continue showcasing her talent. In a recent guesting on Magandang Buhay, Sunshine Dizon was asked how she does the dramatic scenes, especially the one that involves “sampalan”.
She revealed that the first person who taught her how to slap onscreen was Eddie Garcia. The late actor told her that she must know the counting because this kind of scene requires perfect timing.
“Tinuruan ako ng Tito Eddie na ‘pag sasampal ka, may count pala ‘yon,” she shared. Sunshine said that the co-actor must sync the counting also when he or she will swing his or her face as if it was like a real slap.
Sunshine Dizon admitted that before learning this, his co-stars had to suffer from her “mabigat na kamay”. When asked if there was a celebrity who experienced her “real slap” in a scene, the actress said, “medyo madami na,” then, she laughed.
Apparently, one of those so-stars of Sunshine who experienced this was actor Albie Casino. A short clip from the said “sampalan” scene was shown.
The actress explained that before the scene, she would talk to her co-stars regarding the slap. “Sila naman nagsasabi na, ‘okay, go lang,’” she said.
