Pinoy Rock Icon Mike Hanopol Tests Positive for COVID-19 Infection
The Filipino rock icon Mike Hanopol is currently fighting for his life after he tested for the coronavirus disease.
Last Thursday (June 10, 2021), a Facebook user named Edwin Juatas has shared the photo of Mike Hanopol lying in the bed with oxygen attached on his face. The post immediately spread like a wildfire and garnered various reactions from the netizens.
Juatas asked prayers from the fans and supporters of the bassist/vocalist of the popular Juan dela Cruz band for his fast recovery from the COVID-19 infection. Juatas encouraged the rockstar to stay strong.

“Let’s pray for the legend Mike Hanopol …. Father, heal our friend and fellow musician Mike Hanopol of his Covid 19 infection. This I ask in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son. Amen..kaya mo yan mike .. laban lang..”
On Saturday (June 12), Edwin posted on his Facebook wall and announced that the 75-year-old music figure has survived.
Hanopol is a Filipino rock singer, guitarist, recording artist and former bass guitarist for the Juan de la Cruz Band. He is a pioneer of rock music in the Philippines during the 1970s together with Pepe Smith and Wally Gonzales.
