Jolina Magdangal Says ‘Na-scam na nga ako’, Here’s What Happened

Jolina Magdangal became a victim of a scammer

Magandang Buhay host Jolina Magdangal revealed that she fell victim to an online scam and she shared what happened.

Jolina, just like other celebrities, has done online transactions more often amid the pandemic. During a recent interview for her new movie with mamshies Karla Estrada and Melai Cantiveros, she shared that a scammer just took away her money, based on the article in the Philippine Ultimate Showbiz Hub.

The actress-host said that she is buying cactus online and one time she saw her dream cactus. She wondered why it was cheaper than the normal price that she knows. However, she still grabbed that opportunity.

Pero ang galing kasi makipag-usap. Ayun na, nung idi-deliver na, cannot be reached na siya,” Jolina Magdangal shared.

To make sure that the said seller is really a scammer, her husband tried to contact the said seller and went through the same process of buying. “Nag-try naman yung asawa ko na mag-inquire sa kanya, sumasagot hanggang sa wala na rin din. Hindi niya totoong account and na-scam na nga ako,” she shared.

With that, Jolina said that she is very careful now when it comes to buying stuff online. She said that she is not choosing online cash transfer anymore but cash on delivery payment only.

Meanwhile, celebrity couple Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez also became victims of the “expectation versus reality” in online shopping. Last year, they shared photos on their social media account showing the products they bought online but they were dismayed that it was not the actual size they are expecting.
