Is it true that there will be a Derek-Ellen show on GMA-7?
Rumor has it that a Derek-Ellen show is being planned to happen in the Kapuso network following the project plan for John Lloyd Cruz and Andrea Torres.
To recall, Wowowin host Willie Revillame who also owns the WBR Productions, said that his company is planning to produce a sitcom that will feature John Lloyd and Andrea.
This raised intriguing thoughts as JLC is the ex-girlfriend of Ellen Adarna who is now engaged to Derek Ramsay, the ex-boyfriend of Andrea. When the latter was asked about the project plan of Kuya Wil, she said that she was surprised but excited as well. She is looking forward to having the chance to share the same screen with Lloydie who she also admires.
Currently, Ellen is part of the sitcom John En Ellen with John Estrada on TV5. One of the show’s producer is Derek. Based on the article by entertainment columnist Salve Asis, her source revealed that the hunk actor has proposed something to the management of the Kapuso network.
“Kuwento naman ng isang source, ‘inalok’ / binanggit diumano ni Derek sa isang executive ng network na bakit hindi na lang kunin ng GMA si Ellen,” the columnist wrote. With this, there is a possibility that the Cebuana actress will be a Kapuso also and there will be a possibility also that a Derek-Ellen show will happen.
“So puwede kayang ‘pantapat’ sa John Lloyd / Andrea ang Derek / Ellen team up?” Asis wrote in her article.
Previously, it was reported that John Lloyd was supposed to do a show on TV5 under Albee Benitez’s Brightlight Productions. However, this project did not push through as they were not given a time slot.
