What’s the participation of Johnny Manahan in the JLC-WBR Productions contract?
The camp of director-star maker Johnny Manahan made clarifications about his alleged involvement in the contract signing between A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz and Willie Revillame‘s WBR Productions.
Kuya Wil recently announced on his game show Wowowin that Lloydie is set to do projects under his production company and a contract signing already happened.
In line with this, rumors surfaced the Mr. M played a major role in this collaboration between John Lloyd and Willie. After the short stint of the former Star Magic head on TV5 through Brightlight Productions’ Sunday Noontime Live, reports surfaced that he is now working with Kuya Wil’s production company.
Following this, it was being speculated that Johnny Manahan was the one who became a bridge for JLC and Kuya Wil’s contract signing. The Wowowin host is close to Mr. M who is close to John Lloyd.
However, based on the article by entertainment columnist Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, the camp of Mr. M clarified that he had nothing to do with the negotiation that happened.
The source of the columnist said this: “Mr. M has nothing to do with the negotiations between Willie and JLC. Willie is very close to Mr. M who is very close to Lloydie but he has nothing to do with their talks.”
Meanwhile, the same source, who is close to Johnny Manahan and also worked with Brightlight Productions told Asis that Korina Sanchez’s Rated Korina is still being produced by Albee Benitez‘s production company despite it will be aired also on A2Z and other digital platforms of ABS-CBN.
