CHINA TRIES PROMOTING ITSELF – The term made in China is often passed around as something that’s counterfeit. But, the reality is, the majority of things that we own come from China.

However, there state media recently created something that netizens claim to be 100% fake. Recently, China Daily, China’s state media, posted a video promoting China with a twist. Instead of using footage from China itself, it used videos from the Swiss Alps.

Obviously, the Swiss Alps is one of the most famous places on the planet known for its serene grace, quaint mountain sides, and peaceful environments. As such, netizens on social media immediately spotted the fake and called it out.

According to netizens, China Daily cropped the watermark from the original video and flipped it horizontally and added their own water mark at the bottom. Following the massive backlash, China Daily deleted the tweet.

However, netizens were quick to screengrab the video and screenshots. Furthermore, they even informed the original uploader of the video Sylvia Michel about what went down.
