Did Michael Cinco “Sabotage” Miss Universe Canada Nova Stevens’ Gown?
MISS UNIVERSE CANADA – The team behind Miss Universe Canada 2020 Nova Stevens allegedly claimed that the gowns created by Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco for the beauty queen came late and were ill-fitting.
Nova Stevens, Canada’s representative for the 69th edition of the Miss Universe pageant is considered by pageant fans as a frontrunner in the competition. She failed to land a spot in the international pageant’s Top 21.
Miss Canada’s final gown was created by Dubai-based Filipino designer Michael Cinco. After the pageant, the beauty queen and the designer shared a photo of the fabulous gown on social media.
Recently, Nova Steven’s publicist MGmode took to social media to reveal that Michael Cinco’s gown allegedly arrived late and did not fit Stevens well. Entertainment News portal shared on its Facebook page screenshots of MG mode’s now-deleted posts.
Nova Steven’s team MGmode also wrote that the incident also happened to Miss Argentina and Uruguay during the Miss Universe 2019, which they handled. They allegedly blamed Michael Cinco for her loss at the recent pageant.
“The truth need[s] to be told! The gown was sent late by Michael’s team, and when it arrived none of them fitted! We were able to fix the one for the finals, but the one for prelims we didn’t have time. We went to Dubai 2 times, to prevent such mistake since it happen to us as well with Argentina’s gown last year @marianavarela and Uruguay @fionatenutavenerio”
“Such a terrible mistake should not have happen! We love Michael! But this was inexplicable. At the same time, they have time to custom made a gown for another delegate who checked in with her custom made Michael Cinco gown. Things don’t add up,” it ended.
