PAGASA Says ITCZ to Affect Country’s Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest weather update and reported that the ITCZ would affect the country.

On Friday (May 21, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the easterlies and intertropical convergence zone would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone would affect the weather condition over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The easterlies would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of Luzon.

The ITCZ would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila, patuloy pa ring makakaranas ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon maliban lang sa isolated na pag-ulan dulot ng thunderstorms,” weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said.

The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
