Read Miss Peru Janick Maceta’s Message For Rabiya Mateo
MISS PERU – Janick Maceta del Castillo of Peru reacted to the earlier statement of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
Ilongga beauty queen Rabiya Mateo became well-known in the county after winning the Miss Universe 2020. Lots of people adore her for her humble background, beauty, and intelligence.
The 24-year-old beauty represented the Philippines in the 69th edition of the Miss Universe. The prestigious pageant was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida last May 16, 2021.
Rabiya Mateo entered the Top 21 but failed to get to the top 10. Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi crown her successor, Miss Mexico Andrea Meza, at the end of the event.
After the coronation night, Miss Bolivia Lenka Nemer and Rabiya shared an empowering message to other delegates and their fans on social media. The Filipina beauty queen said, “this is like a start – a beautiful start for something new. And actually, it’s just gonna be one girl who’s gonna be crowned, but I know in my heart, everyone of us, we are alright even without that crown.”
Miss Universe 2020 second runner-up Miss Peru Janick Maceta del Castillo also shared a super cute video of her bonding moment with Rabiya Mateo. She also sent a sweet message to the Pinay.
Rabiya Mateo described her as her ‘sister’ during the Miss Universe 2020 pageant. She recalled how she and the Peruvian model would pray together during the competition.
“I remember during the preliminaries, we were praying together. We were lifting all of our worries to God. Ang sabi namin, whatever success we have, we’re giving it back to the Lord…”
“Siya ‘yung parang sister ko,” Rabiya added.
Janick Maceta del Castillo was touched by Rabiya Mateo’s kind words. The beauty queen took to her Instagram account to air her sweet reaction and express how she misses the Pinay.
“Awww, my beautiful @rabiyamateo. You are the sweetest I miss you already. You are such an amazing woman. I love you and loved praying with you. See you soon in Philippines,” she wrote.
