Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo has spoken after she failed to win the 5th Miss Universe crown for the Philippines.
Although Rabiya ended her Miss Universe journey as one of the Top 21, Pinoy pageant fans expressed that they are still proud of her. Several Filipina beauty queens also showed love and support for the delegate of the Philippines for the 69th edition of the most prestigious pageant in the world.
After failing to enter the Top 10, Rabiya was seen on this Instagram Live of Miss Bolivia Lenka Nemer. The beauty queen from Iloilo City said, “It is a beautiful start for something new.” The Bolivian beauty queen was nodding to show that she agreed with what Rabiya Mateo said.
She also pointed out the fact that only one girl will be crowned as Miss Universe this year but she believes in her heart that each and every one of them is a queen even without a crown.
Then, Miss Bolivia shared that she has told her fellow candidates that the crown will just last for a year or a few months but their friendship will go beyond that because it can last a lifetime.
Rabiya added that they have also brought impact to the lives of other people which is very vital. Having the chance to represent the country is also something to be cherished, the Ilongga beauty queen expressed.
Before saying that she had to fix her things after the pageant, Rabiya Mateo expressed gratitude to everyone who showed support for her.
