The network officially shut down the following month after receiving the order and it has affected a lot of lives. Many people lost their jobs and many of the starts of the Kapamilya network transferred to other channels due to a lack of projects. However, despite the loss the network has faced, they gained new stars despite their shut down and continued to serve the Filipino through their various social media platforms and via their blocktime deals with TV5 and A2Z channels.

Will GMA also accept blocktime deals with them? As much as many people are all aware, GMA is one of the greatest rivals of the Kapamilya network, and GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon talked about this matter.

According to PEP, during the Annual GMA Stockholders’ Meeting held yesterday, the CEO has made this statement, “Being open for ABS artists has nothing to do with being open to a blocktime arrangement with ABS-CBN.”

This is what he can just accordingly say right now because they neither received any proposals nor talk to consider or evaluate. He added that they are not closing their doors and assured to seriously assess every proposal that may come to them.
