Vilma Santos Speaks About "Apo", Comments On Luis-Jessy Marriage

Here’s what Vilma Santos said about having “apo” and the marriage of her son.

VILMA SANTOS – Actress turned politician Vilma Santos speaks about wanting to have an “apo” following the marriage of her son Luis Manzano.

Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola got married last February 21, 2021, at The Farm At San Benito in a very intimate wedding attended by people closest to them. Among the most important witnesses are Lucky’s parents, Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano, while Jessy’s parents were not able to appear physically due to the health situation of the world. This is also one of the reasons why they wanted a second wedding which is bigger and more grand and something that they have always wanted.

Their civil wedding was officiated by Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa. The Star For All Season actress shared that she is so happy now that her son is married. She even expressed based on a previous article, “Of course, I knew about the civil wedding pero they are both adults at sila ang mga nag-desisyon at nagplano ng lahat. What’s important is that mayroon nang Mr. and Mrs. Manzano.”

Now, in a report from PEP, Vilma shares that she’s looking forward to having an “apo” or grandchild soon. What she wanted for her son to experience is enjoy the life of having a family of his own. She’s not pressuring the married couple to have a child already but she believes that Luis is not getting any younger anymore.

The actress turned politician confessed, “Gusto ko ma-enjoy family niya. And gusto ko na rin may baby. Gusto ko na rin ng apo. Wala nang baby sa bahay,” and also added, “Sabi ko, ‘Anak, no pressure naman. Kaya lang you’re not getting any younger. Gusto ko rin ma-enjoy mo yung may mga anak ka, may family life ka.'”

From the start, what she just really wanted is for her son to enjoy family life and to also realize a different outlook in his life.
