Maskless Minors Caught Gathering and Play Games at Fiesta in Baclaran
Several minors were caught on video gathering without wearing masks and playing games during the fiesta celebration in Baclaran.
On Sunday, a video was taken of some minors having a good time playing games in honor of their Baclaran fiesta. According to the video, the minors were playing a game in which they licked each other’s ears.
Some of those watching was even caught without face masks or failing to observe social distancing. However, when barangay Baclaran chairman Jun Zaide was summoned, he claimed that no reports of the incident had been issued.

He added that barangay staff have been out and about reminding people that no gatherings will be allowed during the fiesta. He said the video’s uploader told him the game the kids were playing had nothing to do with the fiesta and was simply the kids’ idea.
“Kinuhang pagkakataon ng mga bata noong umalis po kami habang nag-iikot po kami noong araw ng piyesta, kinuha nila ang pagkakataon na maglaro. So doon pa lang, siguro pagkakamali na rin siguro ng mga magulang. May kapabayaan ang mga magulang so kami po ay gagawa ng aksyon,” he said.
According to Zaide, they are planning to file a complaint with the district office about the incident. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, he also directed barangay officials to strictly enforce minimum health requirements.
