Sweet Message of Shamcey Supsup for Rabiya Mateo Who’s Now Traveling to LA
RABIYA MATEO – The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 flew to Los Angeles and here are the messages of Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup for her.
The 69th edition of Miss Universe has put the world on pause once again yesterday as the beautiful representatives of several countries vied for the crown. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic now, it was quite a different scenario yesterday. The venue was not filled with people due to the limitations.
Meanwhile, the people continued to cheer for their bets at the comfort of their homes and wherever they are. The Philippines was represented by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo from Iloilo City.
Rabiya is an Indian-Filipina. Her parents separated and she attended her tertiary education at Iloilo Doctors’ College. She’s working as a lecturer in a review center when she started her Miss Universe journey.
Rabiya wowed a lot of people with her determination to bring honor and pride to the Philippines. She carried a very heavy national costume beautifully and gracefully and pushed through with the contest well despite all the negativities thrown at her.
On the other side of bashings, Rabiya got a lot of people who genuinely love and support her. Even before the coronation day, many Filipinos have already expressed how proud they are of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 whether or not she will bring home the crown.
One of the people who greatly supported Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo is Miss Universe 2011 3rd Runner-Up Shamcey Supsup. She is currently the national director of the Miss Universe Philippines (MUP) which is the MU franchise holder in the country.
After the pageant, Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup took to the social media a heartfelt message for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo. The latter’s journey ended in the Top 21.

Addressing Rabiya, Shamcey stressed that she has shown how to be “relentless, unyielding and unstoppable” as she continued to wear the PH sash with love and pride despite the critics. The beauty queen told Rabiya that she is the winner not just in her eyes but in the hearts of millions of Filipinos.
In another Instagram post, Shamcey Supsup shared a photo of her with Rabiya Mateo. The Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is off to Los Angeles (LA). She reminded her that today is just “the beginning of an amazing journey”.
