Police Dies After Being Shot to Death by Riding-in-Tandem in Caloocan City
An unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects shot a police officer which later died after receiving fatal wounds last night in Caloocan City.
Due to bullet wounds to the body, the victim died on the spot. PCpl Ruben Tan, 28, of the Caloocan City Police’s Sta. Quiteria Police Sub-Station (SS-6) and a resident of #254 Amaya’s St. Baesa, Brgy. 161, was the victim.

According to a Caloocan Police investigation, the incident occurred about 7:47 p.m. along Ignacio Compound, Brgy. 162, of the city. The victim was riding his motorcycle in the area when the perpetrators appeared from behind, according to the police report.
The riding-in-tandem mounted an N-Max motorcycle and shot the victim with a rifle. The victim immediately spotted the perpetrators and came to a halt, attempting to retaliate with his service weapon.
However, the assailants shot him again, this time hitting him in the body resulted to his death. Following the attack, the perpetrators fled in an unknown direction, leaving the victim’s bloody and unconscious body behind. Police are conducting their investigation to ascertain the identities of the suspects and the motive for the victim’s murder.
