Man Evades Riding-in-Tandem Shot Attempt But Later Killed After Being Chased

A shooting incident looks like an action movie scene as the target man evades two shots from riding-in-tandem but later killed after being chased.

The recent ambush of a man in Barangay Panasahan in Malolos, Bulacan, resembles a scene from an action movie, with two gunmen attempting to kill the victim twice but failing. The third time, however, the victim was successfully gunned down after a chase.

The suspect, identified as Arnulfo Tolin, was ambushed, according to CCTV footage released by GMA News. The victim’s livelihood or source of income, according to the investigation, was renting vans.

A man wearing a helmet and hiding his face stands on the side of the road with a pistol in the first scene. When Tolin’s motorcycle passed by, the man shot him several times, but the victim evaded and managed to flee on his motorcycle.

Just a few meters away from the first gunman, there was a second gunman waiting for Tolin. The second gunman also shot Tolin but he fortunately evaded it again and his motorcycle sped off. As a result, the second gunman chased him.

The first gunman activated his motorcycle and joined the pursuit. Tolin was reportedly cornered by two gunmen in a vacant lot, according to eyewitnesses.

When the assailants left, Tolin was no longer alive. During the initial police investigation, it was said that Tolin had no criminal record and had never been involved in any barangay trouble.

The police are also looking into the suspects’ potential motives because it’s obvious from the CCTV video that they were determined to knock down the victim and didn’t leave him until he was pronounced dead.
