Will dancer and actor Jhong Hilario also bid goodbye to his network?
JHONG HILARIO – Sample King and Its Showtime host Jhong Hilario speaks about rumors to transfer network and leave the ABS-CBN.
After over a decade of being seen as one of Its Showtime‘s regular hosts where he earned the title “Sample King“, Jhong Hilario suddenly left the noontime show and also bid goodbye to Your Face Sounds Familiar (YFSF) where he is formerly one of the contenders. However, he has made it clear since then that the reason behind his decision to lie low in the meantime is for the safety of his daughter.
In this time of pandemic where he often gets himself exposed to a lot of people due to his work, he cannot take the risk to put her baby and partner’s safety on the line. The actor-dancer shared that he thought of this thoroughly before deciding. In terms of rumors to leave his network, the actor clarified that there’s no truth to it.
According to PEP during one of his previous interviews, he said that there’s nothing being offered to him by other networks. The actor expressed, “Unang-una wala akong offer, walang lipat na mangyayari. It’s about my daughter, siya pinag-uusapan dito.”
Jhong’s long-time partner Maia Azores gave birth to their first child last March. They named their daughter Sarina Oceania. The understanding he got from his bosses and the management is one of the things he is grateful for because they understood that he’s just doing what he did for his newborn.
In a previous article, he opened up about parenthood and how it changed his life. He gets to do things for the first time such as giving his baby a bath, changing her diapers, and putting on clothes to her tiny body.
