Karla Estrada finds this role very challenging
Magandang Buhay host Karla Estrada admitted that her co-host Melai Cantiveros was her big challenge in Momshies! Ang Soul Mo’y Akin movie.
Also included in the movie is their fellow host Jolina Magdangal. During the virtual media conference for the Mother’s Day movie, Karla talked about the scene in which she had to imitate Melai.
For the Queen Mother, that scene was rally challenging because of how energetic the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate is, based on the article in Bandera.
“Sobrang gusto ko na magpatiwakal nu’ng ginaya ko si Momshie Mels. Ang likot niya, para siyang kiti-kiti. Ang dami niyang nuances, ang daming niyang expressions na siya lang makakagawa,” Karla Estrada shared.
She also quipped that this might be the end of her career that she has been taking care of for 30 years now. “Dahil hindi naman ako as professional as Jolina Magdangal, di ko na nabasa yung dulo ng script na magiging Melai pala ako. Mag-iisang ikot pa pala. Doon nagkatrayduran!” the mother of Daniel Padilla revealed.
Karla added that this is the reason why Melai is one and only and no one can imitate her. Jolina Magdangal also admitted dhtat she also had a hard time doing “panggagaya” of Melai’s gestures because she needed up feeling the pain in her neck.
However, Melais Cantiveros stressed that she had the hardest time acting like Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal. “Kung hirap sila sa akin, mas hirap ako sa kanila. Mahirap maging maganda. Hindi ko talaga kaya maging maganda,” she said.
This movie under Star Cinema is the first movie that the Magandang Buhay hosts did together.
