PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (May 8)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies and ITCZ would bring cloudy and rainy conditions over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (May 8, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the easterlies would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, and Benguet.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone would bring cloudy condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Northern Samar, Bicol region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, eastern Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
The weather agency advised the public to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms and moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon, Aurora province, Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
