To recall, when Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson made a relationship announcement, the actress and ex-girlfriend of the actor Maja Salvador refused to make any commentaries. In a previous article, she doesn’t want to add up to the controversy and expressed, “Let’s just move on. To be honest, ayoko pong makadagdag ng kung anu-ano. Parang, let’s move on.”
But in her recent feature for Mega Entertainment, she has made some revelations about the actor when they were still in a relationship. It was in 2013 when they went out to the public as a couple and broke up after a couple of years. Also, her relationship with scarred the close friendship she had with her best friend Kim Chiu.
She also revealed in her latest feature that being with Gerald seemingly put a jinx on her career before. While he was enjoying the endorsements he had while they were together, her case was different, she lost over a handful and was struggling in her showbiz career.
Also, one of the reasons why she turned down the offer to play the lead role in “Init Sa Magdamag” is because of him and the requirement to do a lot of love scenes. He’s an ex-boyfriend of her and rejecting the role is also her way to protect the relationship she has now with Rambo Nunez.
Reacting to this as to why Maja just revealed all of these now where many years have passed already and talking about these things that happened in the past, comedian and showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz playfully said “grabe ang kamandag mo je” and added playfully, “daks talaga si gerald”.
But on a serious note, he advised the people, not just Gerald, to always pick up the lesson and to let these heartaches strengthen you. Meanwhile, when asked about Maja turning down the role, as a star handler, Diaz expressed understanding about the rejection as this is how Maja shows her respect for her relationship with Rambo.
He picked out Judy Ann Santos as an example who accordingly rejected the “A World Of A Married Couple” lead role because of the love scenes included and also because of her marriage with Ryan Agoncillo.
