Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez received this advice from her Mamita veteran singer-actress Pilita Corrales regarding her experience with a female celebrity who was “mataray.
Janine is very close to the mother of her father Monching Gutierrez. It is no doubt that the same blood runs in their veins as they are like a carbon copy of each other. Many showbiz enthusiasts noticed that when the Asia’s Queen of Songs was younger, she really looked like her grandchildren.
Their physical attribute is not the only thing that is common between them, they are also both well-respected celebrities in the Philippines.
In a recent vlog of Janine on her YouTube channel with 400 thousand subscribers, the actress did the one of the most requested vlog contents. Many had been requesting her to do a vlog with the one and only Pilita Corrales.
Janine Gutierrez happily gave what her audience wanted to see and her vlog with her Mamita was a blast. They did the “Truth or Dare” challenge. One of the questions that was asked to the Kapamilya actress was if she had a showbiz horror story.
“Actually, wala naman akong celebrity horror story. I think they’re all nice to me because Mamita is my lola,” Janine said and Pilita laughed. Then, the younger celebrity recalled an instance when a female celebrity did “pagtataray” to her.
Janine shared that there was a time when a hosting stint was offered to her because the initial choice, who was the female celebrity, was not available or she might have turned down the project.
“So, nu’ng nakita ako ng artista na ‘yun, ‘she was like, ‘uy ikaw na pala ang gagawa ng ganyan?’ sabi ko, ‘yeah.’ Tapos sabi niya, ‘ah, hindi ko kasi tinanggap,’” she shared.
Pilita Corrales offered her advice as said to her granddaughter: “Sinampal mo sana kaagad! Sabihin mo lang, ‘e kasi mas maganda ako kaya ako ang kinuha. Ganyan ang answer na maganda.”
