Jericho Rosales talked about his past projects
Award-winning actor Jericho Rosales revealed that the role of fellow A-list actor Piolo Pascual in the movie ‘Dekada 70’ was initially for him but an unexpected thing happened.
Just like other actors who are passionate about their roles in order to portray them as realistically as possible, Jericho also has some preparation before the actual shooting, just like in a movie that he said was his toughest role. In a recent interview with PEP, the actor shared that when the movie that was set under the time of Martial Law, he already did preparations.
He recalled that he joined a rally in EDSA at that time just to understand his character. However, to his devastation, he was pulled out of the project. “I was shattered. I was so angry… so angry…” the actor shared.
Dekada 70 is one of the critically-acclaimed Pinoy movies at that time and it brought Best Actor Awards to Piolo Pascual from different award-giving bodies.
Despite losing the chance to play that remarkable role in a movie, Jericho Rosales could not simply dwell with frustrations. It is because he was given the teleserye Pangako Sa’yo with Kristine Hermosa. The said series that run from 2000 to 2002 was indeed a big hit in the Philippines, as well as in other parts of the globe.
The Pinoy series was dubbed in different languages and this opened more opportunities for Jericho. “Because of that, I got to experience filming in Malaysia for a Malaysian film,” he shared. The actor also did a TV series in the said country.
Through Pangako Sa’yo, he was also able to do a concert in Ghana. Africa and visited different countries like Cambodia. Jericho Rosales said that experience was one of the best things that happened to him.
