A community pantry donor has this surprised treat for recipients
Melody Miranda Conag, one of the community pantry organizers in Barangay Dinaga in Naga City, Camarines Sur shared that a donor has hidden a surprise treat for recipients inside packs of salt.
Conag shared on her Facebook post last Thursday that a donor who chose to be unnamed, based on her edited caption, donated several packs of salt for their charity work in their community.
The Facebook user shared that they were wondering why the packs are quite larger than usual. They only knew that there were things hidden inside each pack when the donor sent them the photos showing what was the surprise treat.
Conag shared the photos from the donor showing that there were money hidden inside the packs of salt.
Naubos po yan kahapon, ngayon lang namin nalaman na may pasurprise pala yan. “May you be blessed more for your kindess and generosity. Siguradong marami kang napasaya!” the community pantry organizer said.
She also shared that the packs of salt were all distributed after they were displayed for everyone to avail. Based on the recent posts of Conag, they are still continuing this charitable endeavor for the less fortunate people in their community and they continue to receive donations from people who also want to help.
Meanwhile, the community pantry that actress Angel Locsin organized for her 36th birthday celebration went controversial as an elderly man died while waiting in the queue. With this, various reactions from the online community and prominent people were expressed.
Some said that it was not Angel’s fault while some blamed her. There were also netizens who pointed out that the actress should understand how difficult it is to organize a community pantry much more to lead the whole country.
