Netizens react to the comment of Liza Soberano regarding the controversy that happened in the pantry of Angel Locsin that caused an elderly’s death.
ANGEL LOCSIN – This is the comment of Liza Soberano over the controversy of Angel Locsin’s pantry that caught social media attention.
For the 36th birthday of Angel Locsin, she put up a community pantry to help the poor people in need in her own little way. Aside from being an actress, she’s also an activist and philanthropist who is well-loved for all of her charity works and sincere intention to help in any possible way that she could. However, despite her pure intention, something happened that overshadowed her supposed to be a meaningful day.
Rolando Dela Cruz is the elderly who died amid the crowd that attacked the pantry she put up. He collapsed in the middle of the mass and was pronounced dead upon arrival in the hospital. She is deeply sorry for what has happened and took full responsibility of it. She is prioritizing on how to help the family and in her statement, she expressed that she will be forever sorry of it.
Some celebrities reached out to her and expressed messages of comfort because they knew well that she meant well. And one of those who reacted is Liza Soberano who said that she doesn’t need to say sorry because she never wanted it all to happen.
Soberano said, “You don’t need to say sorry ate dahil hindi mo naman ginusto ang mga nangyari. We will be praying for tatay’s soul, for his family who is mourning and for your good health and peace of mind.”
However, some netizens objected what her message has implied. Some have objected because eventhough Locsin didn’t want it, she was responsible and professional enough to apologize. She was accordingly just being accountable for what has transpired.
During the event, the people wh mobbed her pantry’s area was uncontrollable to the point that social distancing hasn’t been implemented.
