A Facebook user named Sharon Garzon has expressed her disappointment towards a real estate company after floodwaters entered their home about four months ago. The post elicits comments from the social media users.

Garzon lambasted Amaia Scapes Ayala North Point in Talisay City, Negros Occidental over the real estate’s assurance that the subdivision is flood-free. Floodwaters entered her house last January 2021.

Sharon gets surprised after the floodwaters reached their house as the weather agency PAGASA announced no typhoon forecast. The heavy rain brought 1 meter flood inside their house and two-meter flood reached up to two meters across the streets.

The female citizen brought her concern to the company and waited for three months but received no action regarding the issue. The company allegedly respond “Do not panic, it is an act of God”.

She lambasted the firm for claiming that Amaia is flood free although it is prone and vulnerable to flood. She is still hoping for the firm’s response.

Scapes Ayala North Point is not FLOOD FREE.

We bought a home in Amaia Scapes Ayala North Point, Talisay City believing in the intense assurance which is consistent in their vision and mission that the property is flood free. Thus, with much frustrations we regret to say that this is not true at all. Last January 2021 our home was flooded. It came as a surprise when there was no typhoon forecast. It was just heavy rain and the water flood level was almost 1 meter inside our home and almost 2 meters on the streets of Amaia Scapes Ayala North Point. We brought this to their attention and we waited for almost 3 months. We had ONE ZOOM MEETING ONLY with them and nothing followed, despite our persistent request to have another meeting. After a few weeks we were dumbfounded when we received their response. Allow me to quote their response “DO NOT PANIC, IT IS AN ACT OF GOD.”
