Residents Of Davao Region Warned Of Possible Floods, Landslides, Due To Typhoon BIsing
DAVAO REGION WARNED – Due to Typhoon Bising, Residents of Davao region face possible floods, landslides.
The Mines and Geosciences Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources urged that these calamities were “very highly susceptible” in Purok 15,16,17, and 22 in Barangay Mt. Diwata, Monkayo, Davao de Oro.
As such, pre-emptive evacuation activities were recommended. Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard said they are on full alert status in the North Eastern Mindanao area.
Along with this, the Coast Guard a quick response team that is on standby 24/7 to respond to emergencies in the following hours. Additionally, mobility floating assets in all stations and sub-stations of the Coast Guard in Caraga are on standby.
Currently, PAGASA reported that Typhoon Bising has been last located at 705 kilometers east of Surigao City. Bising has maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 215 kph moving 20 kph at a west northwest direction.
