2 Senior Citizens in Makati City Gunned Down While Inside Their Van
The couple, both senior citizens, were gunned down inside a white van in Bel Air, Makati City, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Inquirer, the victim couple was Bonifacio de Vera and Remegia De Vera, who were both riding in a Toyota Hi-Ace van with the license plate ADA 1463. The shooting took place on Jupiter St. in Makati City just after 1:00 p.m.

Authorities are investigating whether the male victim, who was wearing a black jacket with an “NBI” written on it, had a link to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the female victim, who collapsed behind the driver’s seat, had a connection to the NBI as well.
The incident is still being investigated as of this writing. A grey sedan car allegedly pulled up in front of the victims’ vehicle and the suspect was seen conversing with the woman, who is believed to be acquainted.
A fight broke out between the victim and the person with whom he was conversing, and a gunshot was heard later. The suspect’s car flees instantly, but the number of people on board is unknown.
The police have retrieved closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, which they are now studying. Within the van of the victims who may have had a pawn problem, there were pictures of the vehicle printed. In the victim’s male sling bag, a.45 caliber pistol was discovered.
