Update on Former Pres. Erap’s Condition Now Released by Former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada
ERAP’S CONDITION NOW – Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, the eldest son of former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada, issued a medical bulletin of his father.
A lot of people contracted COVID-19 amid the pandemic. Some survived to the disease while others succumb. It has been a year now since the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic.
In the Philippines, there are several known personalities including former politicians who contracted COVID-19. One of them is former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada. He’s confined in the hospital now.

Former Pres. Estrada was brought to the hospital as his oxygen level dropped. He was also moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was intubated to assist him in his breathing amid his bout against the disease.
The Former President has already tested negative for COVID-19. He was extubated and was also moved back to a regular room but after a few days, he was once again returned to the ICU. The doctors found an infection in his lungs and he needed close monitoring.
Former President Erap was moved to non-COVID ICU. His family sought for prayers for his continuous recovery. He recently turned 84 years old.
Recently, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada issued a medical bulletin of former Pres. Erap’s condition now. In a Facebook post, the eldest son of the former President shared that his father was moved back to a regular room. His condition also improves “steadily”.
According to former Sen. Jinggoy, Erap has no more fever and his oxygen need is lower. He is currently under “pulmonary rehabilitation to hasten the recovery of his lung infection”.
Former Pres. Erap’s condition now is improving and his family asks for continuous prayers for his recovery as they hope that the rest of his recovery is “uneventful”. In his post, he also expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of prayers, love, and support for their family.
