Former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada Issues Medical Bulletin of Former Pres. Erap

JINGGOY ESTRADA – The Former Senator released an update about the condition of former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada now following his return to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

There are many prominent personalities in the different fields across the globe who contracted COVID-19. There are actors, actresses, singers, and politicians. Some survived the battle while others succumb to the said coronavirus disease that has shaken many healthcare systems across the globe.

In the Philippines, one of the celebrities who was infected by COVID-19 is former President Joseph “Erap” Estrada. His oxygen level dropped that prompted the doctor to advise his family to confine him in the hospital.

The Former President had breathing difficulties. He was further moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and was intubated to assist him in his breathing. Prior to being moved to the ICU, he spoke to the public through a video and told the people not to worry about him as he is strong. He also reminded everyone to be careful.

Two (2) of the sisters of Erap also tested positive for COVID-19. According to his son, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada, they had a family gathering wherein his father was also present. Both sisters of the former President who are older than him were asymptomatic.

Erap already tested negative for COVID-19. He was also moved back to a regular isolation room from the ICU. However, a few days after, he was returned to ICU for non-COVID-19 patients after an infection was spotted in his lungs.

Former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada recently gave an update about the condition of former Pres. Erap Estrada following his return to ICU. In a medical bulletin posted on Facebook, the eldest son of the former President said his father is “doing better” and the function of his kidney is improving.

The former Senator also shared that the medications of Erap for his blood pressure support was lessened while still being under oxygen support. The former President remains in the ICU for further monitoring and his family is seeking prayers for his continuous progress.
