Police Arrested 25 Individuals Involved in Illegal Cockfighting in Bulacan

Bulacan police arrested 25 individuals involved in “tupada” or illegal cockfighting held during the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

Individuals who were caught conducting illegal cockfighting (tupada) in the province arrested. Based on the report, the said activity is banned while the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) is being enforced.

According to Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe, Bulacan police director, Authorities from the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM), the City of Meycauayan, and the Bulacan First Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) arrested the suspects in Barangay Sto. Cristo CSJDM, Barangay Tabon, Pulilan, and Brgy Caingin of Meycauayan City during various anti-illegal gambling operations.

The illegal gamblers were identified as Galo Rizo, Robert Cuizon, Abraham Bonaobra, Vic Gallarde, Antonio Beruela, Elmer Reyes, Manolo Cruz, Nelson Versoza, Eddie Reyes, Roland Esguerra, Angelito Bulanadi, Eliseo Sagara, and Victor Santos.

Rizalino Tuvera, Nicanor Bulacan, Meliton Bistal, Roger Taduran, Hilario Gado, Mauro Gado, Roberto Purgatorio, Bren Zalatar, Epipanio Padon, Crecencio Gado, Gerardo Arevalo, and a 17-year-old male were also arrested. Four fighting cocks, seven dead fighting cocks, 14 gaffs, and P11,350 in bet money were recovered during the operations.
