ANTHONY TABERNA – One of the most respected boradcasters in the country Anthony Taberna files charges against the persons who robbed his money.

Amid the battle of Anthony Taberna’s daughter with leukemia with them behind her is another hurdle that involved his money and the person he trusted. In his previous guesting in Magandang Buhay, he revealed that the person he entrusted his business with took his money and went away. Ka Tunying revealed, “Nadiskubre namin two weeks o three weeks ago lamang na kami pala ay ninanakawan ng taong pinagtitiwalaan namin dito sa kumpanya.”

And just recently, the journalist went to the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday and filed qualified theft complaints against his diner’s former finance chief and a bank branch manager. This is after he lost a huge amount of Php 15 million. The 11-page complaint he filed stated that Ernie Patrick Aquino, the former finance and administrative head of A. Taberna Foods, allegedly conspired with bank branch manager Gualberto Baluyot II and swiped more than P15.38 million from his firm’s account to Aquino’s account.

In his complaint, Taberna stated as per Manila Bulletin, “In the last week of November 2020, several checks issued by A. Taberna Foods to suppliers were dishonored despite the supposed availability of funds. Upon inquiry with (the bank), the company discovered that respondent Aquino was able to open seven other bank accounts under the name of Taberna Foods.”

It was accordingly Baluyot who allowed him to open several accounts on behalf of Taberna Foods without the approval of the company. All these seven accounts were opened in the same bank branch. In the investigation, it has been found out that a total of 175 unauthorized transfers were made sent to Aquino’s personal account amounting to Php 15,381,644.09.

On Instagram, Ka Tunying posted a photo in Gana Atienza Avisado law firm and wrote in his caption, “Bukas, abangan ang isang malaking hakbang sa paghahanap ng hustisya kasama ko ang Law Firm na ito.”
